Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD NORRIS FRASER April 11, 1931 - November 6, 2009 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather after a brief, courageous battle with cancer at Pine Falls Health Centre. Don was predeceased by his father William Alexander; his mother Hazel Reiganhaether; brothers, Hugh and Jimmy; sisters, Mary and Ann; also an infant sister Eileen; and grandson Todd Fraser. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Violet; sons, Christopher (Janet) and Daniel. His stepsons, Rodney Ketola (Karen), David Ketola (Sandra). Sisters, Isabelle, Iris and Evelyn; special friend and neighbour Joyce Latimer. Also his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Chad, Jaclyn and Robyn Fraser, Matthew and Daniel Ketola and Brittany, Danielle and Andrew Ketola. Also he will be sadly missed by his furry friends, Pinball and Patches. Also many loving nieces, nephews and special friends. Don was born April 11, 1931 in the family home in Great Falls, MB. He started his hydro career in various generating plants along the Winnipeg river system. He moved to Winnipeg and ended his 37 and one half year career as shift superintendent of loads dispatch, retiring in 1986. He then came back home to Great Falls and married his present wife Violet. They enjoyed 23 and one half blissful years of retirement. He loved to work around his yard, putter in his workshop and dabble in art and story writing. He kept a daily journal and could tell anyone what happened 20 years ago to the day. He loved golfing with his son Chris, his stepson Dave, his grandchildren and his Great Falls buddies, enjoyed outings at the beach with Vi and their special friend Joyce. He will be sadly missed and always remembered by everyone that knew him. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Pine Falls Health Centre for their wonderful and compassionate care. Also a very special thank you to daughter-in-law Sandra for being there for support to the very end. According to Don's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family dispersal of his ashes will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to the Pine Falls Health Centre, Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice. Rest in peace, my love.
