LEON LECOMTE Peacefully, on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the age of 85 years, Leon passed away with family by his side at Foyer Valade. Son of Jules and Florence LeComte, Leon was born on April 14, 1924 in Ste Rose Du Lac, MB. Leon was a Meat Cutter by trade but an artist in spirit. His many talents included a love of music, drawing, and carving which he has passed on to his children and grandchildren, who, with these gifts, will continue his legacy. And when he wasn't working so very hard his favourite past times were camping, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. Leon will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Rita, and his children, Gildas (Annette), Lilliane (Ron), Aline (Daniel), Denise (Rene). Leon will also be fondly remembered by his nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joe, Alva and Florent. The family would like to thank Foyer Valade for the love and care they gave Leon during his stay there. A celebration of Leon's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc, Winnipeg, with Father Le Gal presiding.
