JAMES (JIMMY) HOWARD STAPLETON Peacefully in his sleep at West Park Manor in Winnipeg at the age of 78 years, Jimmy passed away on November 7, 2009. Jimmy was predeceased by his parents Herb and Mae Stapleton and his sister Isabelle Stein. He leaves to mourn his daughter Charlene Funk (Rodney) and son James Stapleton (Laura-Lynn) and his grandson Eric Stapleton. Also left to mourn are his brother Robert Stapleton, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles and his former wife Iris, who remained a special friend in his life. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing, animals and anything to do with the outdoors. He had a long career at CNR, retiring from the System Engineering Yard in 1987. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Many thanks to the caring staff at West Park Manor for all their kindness to Jimmy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
