EVANGELINE YOUNG (nee TURGEON) Peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2009, with her family by her side, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary Ida Evangeline, passed away at the age of 89 years at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Mom, best known as Evelyn, is lovingly survived by two daughters, Gail (Dan) and Judy Osada, two sons, Roger and Raymond (Glenda), 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one brother (Gib) and one sister (Albertine) and brother and sister-in-law, David and Flo. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, her mother Marie and father Emile. Mom was employed at the Bay for 25 years. Upon retiring Mom and Dad did extensive traveling, both in North America and abroad. Mom enjoyed her Fridays at Fred Douglas Lodge, participating in different activities and spending time with many of her friends there. Evelyn was a member of the Independent Forresters, Weston Seniors Club, Bowling and Club 283. Mom enjoyed watching many hours of baseball and curling and knew all of the players and their stats. Funeral service will take place on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, 1 Green Acres Lane with Rev. Msgr. Enrique Samson Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. The family would like to thank all of the Home Care workers that looked after Mom over the years. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
