He leaves to mourn his mother Sandra Falk (nee Geisler) and father and best friend Ken Falk, his lost little sister Brenna Falk of Ashern, the love of his life girlfriend Cory Clement, honorary siblings Melissa and Carlos of Mexico, Tomomi of Japan and Elisa of Italy, Grandma and card playing partner Nettie Geisler, Grandpa Ben Falk and Elda, Godfather Duncan Geisler, Godmother Lindsay Rawluk, Uncle and Aunts, Duncan and Lise Geisler, Dennis Geisler, Shelley and Randy Bjornson, Gerald and Phyllis Falk, Gary and Theresa Falk, Gwen and Lorrie Allary, Vern and Deb Falk, Brian and Ang Falk, numerous cousins, extended family, and very special friends. Brandyn was predeceased by his Grandpa Eddie Geisler and Grandma Sue Falk, Uncles Wes and Doug Falk. Born at Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg on March 26, 1987, he was baptized and confirmed in the Grace Lutheran Church in Ashern and attended Silver Bay Bible Camp as a camper then as a counselor. He attended Ashern Central School where he graduated in 2005 and from there he moved to Lethbridge Community College to study Criminal Justice. He moved back to Manitoba after three years of study and socializing. He had various jobs from working at service stations, garages, delivering pizza, being a DJ, and slinging beer at the Enmax Center in Lethbridge. Brandyn worked with Manitoba Conservation as a Park Patrol Officer for three years, and then turned his attention to construction being employed with Rohl Enterprises as a Directional Drill Operator. It was a job which he truly enjoyed taking pride in and was nicknamed Hollywood' by his co-workers. From a very young age Brandyn knew how important family and friends were and they were at the top of his priority list, always wanting approval from his family. Sometimes he asked after the fact' but it was important to know what everyone thought. B needed to be challenged at all times, was and am sure still is, high spirited, musical and athletic. When playing hockey with his best buds for Ashern Minor Hockey he was often more concerned about the social aspect of the event than the game at hand. He was confident yet mindful of others' feelings, humorous, awesome, caring, gentle, comical, an entertainer, enjoyed hosting people in his home, college, or anywhere he was able to, playing cards, had acceptance of people for who they were, was most comfortable as the center of attention and, of course, always needed to have the last word'. Family and special events were important, especially his love for Christmas time still leaving notes and a shot for Santa. His love of music began at an early age taking piano lessons at the age of six then switching to guitar at the age of eight. His guitar soon became his companion and had been played by him daily ever since, often starting at 11:00 p.m. Writing songs was a pastime, dedicating and playing to his grad class, or just for his own enjoyment. He once wrote a song for his Mom about him and his exchange brother from Mexico called Brothers from different Mothers . Playing the Saxophone in both the School band and Jazz band were a really fun time for him as well as the trips with the band to Toronto and Victoria. He enjoyed trips with his family or friends, spending his 15th birthday in Mexico with Melissa and his 18th with his Mom in France. He travelled across Canada, extensively in Manitoba including the train trip to Churchill, also travelling to Europe, the U.S.A. and Mexico numerous times. His extreme passion for cooking started at a very young age. Making his Mom breakfast in bed, the coffee had grounds in it, the eggs were green (decorated with food coloring) and the toast burnt, but she enjoyed it all the same and he was so proud of his accomplishments. Brandyn began watching cooking shows on TV every night before bed and would lay on his bean bag in front of the TV and watch the Urban Peasant. Just last week he ordered the Slap Chopper from the TV commercial. As he got older, he created specialty drinks that complimented his cooking. Brandyn was an amazing cook, his creativity was endless and loved to have candlelight dinners with his girlfriend that he had prepared, complete with table dressing and music. He even made a condiment sandwich enjoyable. Brandyn loved to spend time with his Dad, uncles, cousins and friends at the deer and moose camps doing a bit of hunting but the socializing and guitar playing and song singing were the real love. He mentioned numerous times that the best fish fry, steak, toasted salami, cheese and onion sandwiches were made at camp, cooked over an open fire. A life lived every day to the fullest, just taken too soon; God must have needed to spice up heaven. He took Brandyn from us but we are sure, now that he is there, God is wishing he would have left him here as he is probably running the show. The sky was the limit for Brandyn. A Celebration of Brandyn's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Ashern Centennial Hall with Pastor Bob Lewis officiating. The service will conclude at the hall. Honorary special friends are his best buds and brothers, Bjorn Jonasson, Tim Mulvena, Tyler Geisler, Jonathan Berrow and Devon Falk, as well as Caoimhe and Kathleen Morton, Mike Falk, Kimi Miller, Amy Bednarek, Vanessa Richter, Gerald Falk, Gary Falk, Dennis Geisler, Pat Beckett, Chris Johnson and Kyle Knackstedt. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations may be made in Brandyn's memory to the Brandyn Falk Memorial Fund care of the Eriksdale Credit Union Limited, Ashern, Moosehorn or Eriksdale Branches. The purpose of the fund is to facilitate the opportunity for young people to attend religious camps, including Silver Bay Bible Camp, and or to create an opportunity for aspiring young musicians.
