HAROLD KEITH SCOTT Suddenly, with family at this side, Keith Scott passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2009. Keith was predeceased by his father Wilfred; mother Mary; brothers Gordon and Irving. Left to mourn are his wife Joan Noonan; children Bill (Cindy), Dave (Debra), Cheryl (Ron), Jeff (Anita), Tom (Sheila); and step-children Dale (Lori), Tom, Dan, Lorrie Ann (Ed) and Michael (Kim) and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Keith was born in Woodsworth, Manitoba on January 4, 1933 and resided on his parent's farm west of Balder. In 1953, at the age of 19, Keith enlisted with the RCAF during the Korean Crisis and completed his basic training at Camp Borden, Ontario as an aircraft mechanic. Keith's first posting was in Centralia, Ontario. In 1955, Keith married Joyce Hildebrand (later divorced). In 1956, Keith was posted to Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. Here, with a growing family, he resumed his boyhood passions of hunting, fishing, playing ball and curling. In 1965, Keith and his family moved to Rivers, Manitoba. He continued to hunt and fish and focused on coaching ball and teaching kids Hunter Safety in the Jr. Rifle Club. Here he coached his 16 and under rifle group to a Silver Provincial Medal. Keith always enjoyed teaching children how to fish and hunt. In 1970, Keith's final posting took him to Winnipeg, Manitoba. On February 23, 1977, he was honorably discharged from service. In 1975, Keith met Joan Noonan. Upon discharge, Keith moved to Dominion City where he lived with his wife Joan. Keith was employed by the Manitoba Department of Highways for 15 years until his retirement. Keith continued to enjoy hunting with his sons in the Snow Flake area and took up golfing. His love of the outdoors was apparent throughout his life, whether feeding wildlife in his backyard or camping with Joan throughout Manitoba. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at the Community Hall in Dominion City 2:00 p.m. November 14, 2009. Interment to follow at the Dominion City Cemetery.
