WILLIAM (BILL) ALEXANDER MORRIS Peacefully, with family by his side, Bill passed away on November 10, 2009 at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 77 years. He was predeceased by his parents Edith and Alec Morris. Bill is survived by his loving wife Rhoda; their children Stephen (Leslie), Gary (Christine), Jennifer (Ron) Shiflet, Dawne (Jerry) Muys; grandchildren Dustin, Haylee, Tyler, Griffin, Colin and Kaitlyn. Bill was born on May 11, 1932 in Montreal, Quebec, where he met his wife Rhoda. They were married on October 30, 1954 and were happily married for 55 years. Bill worked for T. Eaton Company as an operations manager for the Western Division for most of his career. He was a member of the Masonic Order Northern Light Prince Rupert's Lodge No. 1 and a member of the Eastern Star Friendship Chapter #67. After his retirement Rhoda and Bill enjoyed travelling to Europe and then becoming snowbirds going down to Texas and then to Florida for the winters. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with reception to follow. The family would like to thank Dr. Ian Maxwell and Ann Anderson R.N. and all oncology staff.
