JOAN DELORES GOLDTHORPE Peacefully in her sleep, Joan Goldthorpe, passed away on November 10, 2009. Joan was born in Dublin, Ireland, March 19, 1920 to Robert and Maude Brown. She took her training to be a Nurse, and had a long career as a Maternity Nurse, of which she was proud of. Most of her life was spent living in England, in London, and South End On Sea, with her husband Bill. Joan was proud to be a British subject. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Maude Brown, her brother, Roy Brown, and by her husband of many years, Bill Goldthorpe. Joan is survived by her sister Catherine, nephew Paul (Karen), niece Karin (Ed), grandnephews, Baron (Meagen), Damien (Sarah), and grandniece, Jade. She is also survived by many great-grandnephews and nieces. The family would like to thank Dr. Lindenschmidt, and all the caring and dedicated staff who work at Red River Place. Thank you all for looking after, and caring for Joan. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and will be followed by a private family interment.
