TRACEY LYNN HAWRYSH (nee DUDEK) September 27, 1965 - November 9, 2009 It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Tracey, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend on November 9 at the Health Sciences Centre. Tracey was predeceased by her husband and soul-mate Michael in December 1996, and leaves to mourn her sons Adam and Matthew, parents Steve and Evelyn Dudek, parents-in-law Michael and Emily Hawrysh, sisters Debbie (Doug), Gina (Mark), Terry (Stewart), brothers-in-law Greg (Darlene), Evan (Linda) as well as her many nieces and nephews. Having successfully fought one battle with cancer in the spring Tracey fought valiantly when cancer returned in the fall. Right to the very end she did things her way, her spirit never wavering, her courage inspiring everyone around her. When her body could no longer fight she left us peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Tracey was born in Winnipeg on September 27, 1965 and spent a happy childhood growing up in Transcona with her many friends. She graduated from Murdoch MacKay Collegiate, joined the workforce and later met Michael, the love of her life. They married in 1993, and started their family in 1994. After the tragic passing of Michael in 1996, Tracey drew on her strength and courage and raised their sons. In typical Tracey fashion she taught them how to cook, do laundry, to be honest, responsible young men, and instilled in them a strong sense of independence. Tracey and her boys spent many fun times camping, traveling and enjoying life. Adam and Matthew were her pride and joy and throughout her battle she always had the strength to give them a hug and let them know how much she loved them. Tracey was a wonderful mother, daughter, and sister, a favourite aunt, the remember when person of our family and a real firecracker . Friends and family were always welcomed into her home and entertained with her many stories and excellent cooking. Her in-laws weren't in-laws ; they were her family just as she was their daughter and sister. Many thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at CancerCare Manitoba and Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion. God saw you getting tired A cure was not to be He wrapped you in His loving arms And whispered Come to Me Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 13 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 14 at Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church, Cooks Creek, MB with Fr.
