Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAREN ELAINE DERN (Orchard, nee Gadd) June 15, 1942 - November 11, 2009 After a courageous battle with cancer, Karen Elaine Dern (Orchard, nee Gadd) passed away peacefully at her home on November 11, 2009. Born on June 15, 1942 in Flin Flon, MB, Karen was the only child of Gordon and Idene Gadd. Left to celebrate her life are her children, Kevin (Deb) Orchard and Cheri (Dean) Wilson, grandchildren Derek, Thomas, Katelyn and Sarah, and numerous other close relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents. Karen taught in Creighton, Bowsman, Minnedosa, Gimli, and as a Music Teacher in the Transcona Springfield School Division. A longer obituary can be requested from kmowec@gmail.com The celebration of her life will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 16 at Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. W, Winnipeg, MB.
