Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD (LEN) SAMPSON Peacefully, at the Riverview Health Centre, Leonard (Len) Sampson entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Len was predeceased by his wife, Kay, daughter Patricia Gail Wilson and brother Jim Sampson. He leaves behind to cherish and honor his memory daughter Judy Chapman and husband, Gary, of Boca Raton, FL; grand-daughter Cheryl Ingram and husband Andy of Orlando, Florida and grandson Kevin Chapman and wife, Sandy of Boca Raton, FL, three beautiful great-grandchildren and a number of nephews. Len was born and raised in Winnipeg and married his beloved wife, Kay, in 1940 and they were blessed with 56 years of marriage. His successful career with Air Canada gave them and their family the opportunity to live in and travel to many cities within Canada and overseas - including Saskatoon, Sudbury, Montreal, Glasgow, Scotland, Toronto, South America and the Caribbean. Len's retirement years were happily spent in St. Petersburg, FL, Lake of the Woods and Winnipeg. He enjoyed his service in Rotary, Masonic Lodge, Skal Club, Air Canada Pionairs through the years and was blessed by his Trinity United Church family. Len was a true gentleman in every way. He had an inspirational love for life and the ability to make the most of every day and every circumstance. He was happiest when spending time with family and friends. Len will be dearly missed and never forgotten by all who knew him. A heartfelt thank you is expressed to the entire CD4 team at Riverview Health Centre for their loving and compassionate care of Len while he was a resident. A memorial service celebrating Len's life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with reception to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in Len's memory may be made to: The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba - an organization close to Len's heart.
