IRENE ZYLSTRA It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Irene Zylstra nee (Baars), our beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, to be with her Lord on November 10, 2009, at the Concordia Hospital. Irene was born in the Netherlands on October 3, 1926. She later immigrated to Canada and became the loving wife of Paul Zylstra who predeceased her by a mere two months after a marriage of over 50 years. She was the beloved mother of Annette Harder (Rick), and Ida Brydges (Barry). Proud grandmother of David, Sheryl, and Stephanie. Loving Oma of Mable and Freida. Beloved great-grandmother of Serena and another great-grandchild yet to be born. She is survived by her sisters, Patricia, Maaike, Pamela, and her brother Michael. Aunt to many nieces and nephews both in Canada and the Netherlands. Again we wish to express special thanks to Hennie Slikker for all her help and support to the family over the last few years. Irene will be forever loved and missed by both family and friends. Memorial contributions to the Covenant Christian Reformed Church would be greatly appreciated. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 653 Knowles Avenue.
