Date of Passing: Nov 10, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES RAEBURN PRINGLE With deep sadness, we regret to announce the unexpected passing of Jim Pringle, who left us at the age of 58 on November 10, 2009. Jim will be sorely missed by his loving wife, Marilyn Bayrak; sister Mary Margaret Pringle; sister Penny Fehr and husband Ed, and seven nieces and nephews. Jim is also survived by his uncle Lorne in McCreary; his aunt Grace Buhr and her husband Brian in Clandeboye; his aunt Anne from Minot, North Dakota; his aunt Margery and uncle John from Vancouver; and uncle Don from Kingston. He was predeceased by his mother Gladys in January of this year. His father Raeburn passed away in 2001. Jim was embraced with love by the Bayrak family. As a Headingley resident for his entire life who enjoyed his family's homestead heritage; he strived to add to his family's efforts on the property. Jim attained a Bachelor of Agriculture degree from the University of Manitoba and after an extensive career managing feed mills; he retired from a loss prevention officer position with Grain Insurance and Guarantee in 2008. He looked forward to a long, eventful career as a retired person. He so loved the reaping of what he had sowed and thoroughly embraced the opportunity to organize his gardens, plant his beds, nurture the seedlings and enjoy the fruits of his labours. He had many, many friends and loved to invite them to the home they built in Headingley. Jim was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing his gardening and culinary efforts. His humour and joy of life fed our spirits as well as our stomachs. Although Jim's passion was growing, he also loved trains. Jim and Marilyn recently returned from Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado where they enjoyed taking a trip on a vintage narrow-gauge railroad. Because Jim had many friends within Headingley, as well as several surrounding communities, we invite you to attend his Ceremony of Remembrance this Sunday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Headingley Community Centre, 5353 Portage Avenue, on the Trans-Canada Highway. Jim supported Siloam Mission by distributing many hundreds of pounds of veggies, spices and herbs from his garden. He also adopted a lonely, forgotten pet that needed a home. Should you wish, in Jim's honour, please support the Winnipeg Humane Society or Siloam Mission with your financial contribution.

It was with great sadness that I heard of the passing of Jim. He was an amazing individual who really did have a great sense of humour. I was witness to this as a part of on our anual "Ski Trips" to Giants Ridge. He will be missed on those annual trips. His contributions to the needy and his zest for life will truly be felt by all those who were blessed enough to know and love him for the amazing person that he was. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this time. - Posted by: Cathie Vesey (Friend) on: Nov 15, 2009
