LEXIE HINDS November 9, 1915 - November 12, 2009 Peacefully, on November 12 at the age of 94, Mom went to be with Jesus. She will be lovingly remembered by her son John (Carolynne), daughter Margaret (Ron), grandchildren Sandy, Michael (Monica), Beth, Karen (Franco) and great-grandchildren Jay, Will, Lexie, Alex, Emma, Joshua, and Ethan. She was predeceased by her loving husband and soulmate John in 1991. Her family and her faith were the foundation of her life. Her greatest joys included time spent in her flower garden and baking apple pies and Scottish shortbread in her kitchen. But her most precious moments were those spent with family and friends. We will cherish these memories forever. Her unwavering Christian faith guided her always and we have been richly blessed by God in sharing her life. We would like to sincerely thank the amazing staff at Fred Douglas Lodge. The compassion, kindness and caring shown to Mom and her family was truly a blessing and will never be forgotten. A Celebration of Mom's life will be held on Wednesday, November 18, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Majors Cindy and Curtis Butler will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mom's memory to Fred Douglas Lodge, care of Fred Douglas Foundation, 1275 Burrows Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R2X 0B8. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
