Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK GILMORE Fred Gilmore, born April 23, 1918, beloved husband of Mary, peacefully passed away at the Grace Hospital on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Fred was born in Fort Rouge and went to School at Earl Grey. He enlisted in the R.C.A.F. in 1939, serving four years overseas with the 407 Squadron. He returned in 1944 with an English bride and a five month old daughter. After discharge, he was employed for 35 years with the C.N.R. Fred and Mary travelled a great deal upon his retirement. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Charleswood Historical Society. Fred is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Claire; son Robert; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, also brother Edward. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 19 at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, across from Brookside Cemetery.
