EDITH MARIE KOOL 1942 - 2009 Edith Marie Kool (Peters) died at home in Mississauga, ON on November 15, 2009 at the age of 67 following a lengthy illness with brain cancer. Edith will be missed by her husband of 40 years, Pieter Kool, her daughters, Elinor (Peter) Hansen, Andrea Kool (Richard Clarke) and Catherine (Alistair) Stewart. She was a loving Oma to Adam and Ryan Clarke, James, Jacob and Cameron Stewart and Lynda Hansen. Edith is survived by her brother Rudi Peters and nephew Keith (Karin) Peters of Winnipeg. She will also be fondly remembered by Pieter's family, Kjell and Gré Kool, King and Marie Kool, Arne and Barbara Kool and many nieces and nephews in Holland and Switzerland. She was predeceased by her parents, Waldemar and Mary Peters (Dyck) and brother Frank Peters. The family will receive friends and family at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line (Hwy. 403 and Dundas Street) in Oakville on Wednesday, November 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Toronto United Mennonite Church (1774 Queen Street East, Toronto) on Thursday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.
