MARY KRENTZ Mary Krentz (nee Schalla) of Steinbach, born December 28, 1923, peacefully passed away November 14, 2009 at Bethesda Place, Steinbach, MB at the age of 85 years. Left to cherish her memory are, one son Raymond (Phyllis), three daughters, Judy (Harvey) Fiebelkorn, Arleen (Peter) Doerksen and Dorothy (Cliff) Freund; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, five sisters: Rosaline Guenther, Louise Falk, Pauline Reimer, Marlene Suderman, Emilie Klassen; and two brothers Henry and Willie Schalla. She was predeceased by her husband Emil S. Krentz in 1986, one grandchild, Colleen Doerksen and one great-grandchild, Jenna Leppelmann, her parents John and Natalia Schalla, one brother Elven and two sisters Helen Roy and Alvina Rosner. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 465 Henry St., Steinbach with interment at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Hwy. 12 South. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Memorial Fund, 465 Henry St., Steinbach, MB R5G 0H1 or to Bethesda Place, 399 Hospital St., Steinbach, MB R5G 0E6 The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Bethesda Place and the many friends for their faithful visits.
