JANICE LYNN SIMPSON Peacefully, with family and friends at her side, Janice passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on November 16, 2009, at the age of 61. She was predeceased by her loving husband Roy in 2008 and her father Wilfred Wedge. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Colleen (Jarrad Laird); son Mathew (Katherine Crossman); her mother Emily Wedge; her brother Wayne (Angie); mother-in-law Marie Simpson; sister-in-law Barbara Gobert as well as numerous extended family and friends. Mom was born on May 17, 1948 in Winnipeg to Wilfred and Emily Wedge. She met and married Roy Simpson in 1969 and together they shared 38 years of marriage. After many years of service with the Bank of Montreal Janice retired in 2007 to spend more time with her loving husband Roy. Together they enjoyed numerous memorable cruises where they met many people and established lasting friendships. Roy and Janice were especially fond of San Francisco, returning to their favourite city on several occasions. The family will also cherish fond memories of the times they spent together at West Hawk Lake. Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or The Winnipeg Humane Society. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
