Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKARI (KAY) ROBERT LAMBLIN Sadly we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend Kari (Kay) Robert Lamblin. With family by his side he lost his life Friday, November 13th, 2009. Kay is lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife Janet, daughters Giselle Lamblin (Rene Poulin), Michelle Sorell (Darrell), Christy Lamblin and grandchildren Keith and Mickayla Sorell; sisters June (Dave) Caldwell and Debby (Dude) Chartrand along with aunts, uncles, in-laws and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Etienne and Peggy Lamblin, his parents-in-law Wilfred and Marie Hogue and brother-in-law David Hogue. Kay was born in Eriksdale on January 30, 1949. He married Janet Hogue on October 11, 1969 and raised his three daughters down the road from his parent's farm eighteen miles east of Lundar, MB. Throughout his life Kay pursued various vocations. He had been a bartender, farmer, salesman, volunteer ambulance attendant and coordinator, long-haul and winter road truck driver. He saw most of North America from the driver's seat of a big rig while working for Paul's Hauling and Sigfusson Northern. His last position was with Bison Transport driving double-team with his wife Janet. Of all of these, Kay always said that serving with the Lakeshore Ambulance was one of the most rewarding jobs he'd ever undertaken. Wherever he went and whatever he did, Kay connected with people. He was never afraid of hard work or lending a helping hand and he always had a tale to tell and a story to share. Kay enjoyed a special connection with children. He loved to make them smile. He treasured the time he spent with his grandkids Keith and Mickayla and neighbours Tara and Leo Johnson. Kay loved his farm and loved to entertain people on it. From horse and dune buggy rides to quading and mud bogging, he shared his love of the land and his spirit of adventure with friends and family alike. Kay was a man who thrived on challenges, meeting and exceeding the expectations of others. No matter what happened, Kay always kept going with a stubborn determination few could match. His sense of humour and strength of character saw him through many adversities including that of his diagnosis of incurable cancer. Even until the end of his days, Kay's primary concern was for the well-being of his family. He will always be missed and never forgotten. He will be remembered for his charm, his sense of purpose, his ability to connect with people and his love of life. A celebration of Kay's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Lundar Legion Hall with Melanie Kauppila officiating. Interment to follow in the Abbyville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital Guild, care of Irene Sigurdson, PO Box 474, Eriksdale, MB R0C 0W0 or to the Lundar Personal Care Home, PO Box 296, Lundar, MB R0C 1Y0. The family wishes to thank Dr. Burnett and the staff at the E. M. Crowe Memorial Hospital, the Doctors and staff of the Grace Hospital (especially Dr. Larry Reynolds) and the ladies of Home Care for everything they have done. Also heartfelt thanks to all of the people who visited in the hospital and at home. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOME Ashern - Lundar 1-204-768-2072 1-866-323-3593
