RICHELLE LINDSAY GIASSON With her family by her side Richelle Lindsay Giasson passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2009 after a short courageous battle with Leukemia. Richelle was the youngest of four daughters born to Roberta and Gilles Giasson on November 23, 1994. She is survived by her three loving sisters who will miss her dearly. Tammy (Jim), Erin (Jason) and Shawna. Her nieces and nephews Savanna, Andrew, Hunter and Mya. Also her grandmothers, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be missed also by all of her dear friends and their families, and her dog Diego. Richelle was predeceased by her grandfathers Gerald Olson and Laurent Giasson. Richelle had just completed her grade 9 at Beaver Brae Secondary School. She excelled in academics, and was on the basketball team. Richelle had made many friends in both Thomas Aquinas and Beaver Brae which she enjoyed spending time with inside and outside of school. Richelle was a very strong willed, ambitious and carefree teen who succeeded in most everything she set her mind to. She was very creative and enjoyed spending time on the computer and hanging out with friends. She had a love for animals and horseback riding was one of her favourite ways to pass an afternoon. We would like to thank Dr. Wall and all the staff on CK5 at the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg for everything they did for Richelle and her family. A celebration of Richelle's life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas High School with Pastor Cathy Giroux officiating with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully appreciated to Childhood Cancer Foundation www.candlelighters.ca in Richelle's memory. Fly beautiful butterfly, fly ............
