Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDRES EDWARD GUDMUNDSON Andres Edward Gudmundson, surrounded by his family, began his journey home on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his wife Esther; mother Sella; father Gudmunder; brothers, Tryggvi and Steve, and sisters Freda and Kristjana. Many are left to celebrate his life. He was a father to two daughters Ingrid (Bob) Sikich and Wendy Gendron; Afi to his three grandchildren, Dwayne Sikich, Julie Gendron (Emma Hendrix), and Dionne (Mike) Reinhart; Langafi to two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Ari; Brodir to sister Gudrun Hornfjord as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Eddy was born on April 28, 1919 in Arborg, MB where he lived, farmed, was married in 1944, and raised his family. He was a gentle, private, independent man who was described by others as devoted, wise, inventive, and analytical. He was always generous in sharing his mechanical wisdom, his creative solutions, and his natural health knowledge. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or Manitoba Canadian Cancer Society. A service of remembrance will be held Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m in the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, 301 River Rd., Arborg, with Pastor Bruce Zinken officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
