JEANNE BRISSETTE (nee BEAUDRY) Jeanne passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2009, at Foyer Valade, with her family by her side. Predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur, they were married over 60 years, they had six children: Diane (Jerry), Marcel (Edie), Rose (Bob), Robert (Barbara), Paula (Bryan), and Paul (Debbra). Grandma will be dearly missed by her 13 grandchildren: Lana, Michelle, Becky, Beau, Bonnie, Cheryl, Jason (Taurra), Savannah, Farren, Julia, Mark, Scott, and Marc, and seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who were all an important part of Jeanne's close knit family. Jeanne also leaves to mourn her, two brothers: Henry, and Maurice (Carol), and sister Anne (Louis). Predeceased by her parents A.O. and Praxede Beaudry, and by her brothers: Denis (Terry) and Leo (Irene), and sisters: Georgina (Leo) and Adele (Raymond), and sister-in law June Beaudry. Jeanne was born in 1923 in South Junction. She grew up across the street and attended school with Art. They fell in love before his deployment in the Second World War. After six years, Art returned from Europe and they married in December 1945. In Winnipeg, they developed life-long friendships on Fifth Avenue, and Duluth Bay. Mom worked at Eaton's for many years, and at Petland, where she was called Mom by everyone. Weekly, for 25 years, Jeanne generously gave her plasma to the Red Cross, returning the tremendous favour of saving the lives of her twins Paul and Paula. Jeanne loved the family cottage at Grand Beach, and vacationing but most of all Mom enjoyed her large family gatherings. Mom loved everyone, especially her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Foyer Valade who all cared and did so much for Mom. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 23, at Christ The King Church, 847 St. Mary's Road. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Parish Hall. A private family interment will take place later. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg. Mom, the gift of love you gave us all will forever be in our hearts, and we will love and remember you always. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
