NELLIE (NANCY) DERKACH Nellie (Nancy) Derkach, our sister and aunt, at the age of 83, passed away at Tuxedo Villa on November 17, 2009. Nellie was born on August 18, 1926 in Seech, Manitoba. She resided and worked in Winnipeg for the past 60 years. Nellie was predeceased by her parents Hnat and Tekla, sisters Margaret Yarchuk, Anne Twerdun, Mary Bomek and brother Michael. She is survived by her sisters, Lena Derkach and Rose Gerelus and numerous nieces and nephews from across Canada. Special thanks to the staff at Tuxedo Villa who made her feel at home during her brief stay. She will be sadly missed. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1001 Grant Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Mark Gnutel officiating. Rosary will be said at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Shoal Lake, Manitoba, at 1:00 p.m at St. Josephat's Ukrainian Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment to follow in the Shoal Lake cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
