PETER STILKOWSKI Peacefully, on Thursday, November 19, 2009 with family at his sidet, God called our dear Uncle Peter to be with Him in Heaven. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Tekla; brothers Nick, Mike and sister Mary. The youngest of four children, Uncle Peter was born November 8, 1920 on he family farm in Thalberg, MB. In the mid 1950s, Uncle Peter moved with his parents to Beausejour, then to Winnipeg to live with his brother, Mike (Toni). Mike's family lovingly became Uncle Peter's immediate family. Uncle Peter moved to St. Andrews Place seniors apartments in 1984, then to Middlechurch Home in 1998. Throughout Uncle Peter's life, he overcame many physical challenges; however, it did not deter him from volunteering and participating in numerous events and activities. Thank you, Middlechurch Home, Tracy and B1 staff for your dedicated, compassionate care. Uncle Peter will be so dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and their families, as well as other family members. A celebration of Uncle Peter's life will be held on Tuesday, November 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Middlechurch Home for family, staff and residents; interment to follow at Chapel Lawn. Honorary pallbrearers will be his nieces, Marion Chorney and Pat Nelson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Uncle Peter's memory may be sent to Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Attention: Activity Centre, 280 Balderstone Road, West St. Paul, MB R4A 4A6.
