GILBERT GIRARD (GIL) 1941 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gil on November 20, 2009 with his family at his side. Gil is survived by his loving wife Yvette; his children: Monique (Nick) Parrotta, Gerry (Sherry), Diane (Ron) Dawes and Marc (Shelley); seven grandchildren; Sarah, Julia, Matthew, Sydney, Nicolas, Adam, and Davis; his siblings; Therese, Denis, Sr. Yvette, Estelle, Louis, Ben (Janine); sister-in-law, Louise; brother-in-law: Gilles, and numerous nieces and nephews. Gil was predeceased by his parents Cecile and Noel, sister Aline, sister-in-law Viona, and brother-in-law, Jacques. Prayers will be held at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, 13210-133 A Ave., Edmonton on Tuesday, November 24 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Moret. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 25 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mike Mireau celebrating.
