Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGES ETIENNE LAROCHE (STEVE) Etienne, beloved husband of Elaine, went home to the Lord on November 20,2009 after a short battle with leukemia. Etienne was born in Otterburne, MB in 1923. He was passionate about life and humour which helped him cope with his many health challenges. In his many trades from logging, farming and Post-Master, he reached out to hundreds of people and treasured his family and friends. He loved sports, politics, cribbage, history and kept learning new things into his eighties. Etienne was predeceased by his parents Joe and Alphonsine Laroche, brother Paul, sister Reine (Gerard) and an infant daughter Suzanne. He is survived by his wife Elaine , daughters Marie-Jo (John), Yvonne (Rodney), sons René, Guy, Gilles and Vincent (Diane), seven grandchildren; Michelle, Danielle (Keenan), Kadie, Evan, Isabelle, Sylvain and Geneviève. Also six brothers; Alphonse (Lawrence), Albert (Helen), David, Pierre (Carmen), Francois (Marie), Leon (Marie); Madeleine Laroche, and Noella Laroche. Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Elim Chapel, 546 Portage Ave.
