VLADYMYR KUZIV
Born: Jul 19, 1971
Date of Passing: Nov 19, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVLADYMYR KUZIV In loving memory of Vladymyr Kuziv, who tragically passed away on November 19, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife Viktoriya; sons Misha and Ilya; father Michael and mother Vera; sister Svetlana (Andrey); brother Misha (Rebecca) and many other friends and family members in Ukraine, Israel and Canada. Vladymyr was born to Vera and Michael Kuziw on July 19, 1971 in Lviv, Ukraine. He is a middle child in the family. Growing up as a curious boy, Vladymyr was always first to help mom in the kitchen or dad in the garage, he wanted to learn how to . By taking something apart, he later knew how to fix it. Vladymyr could not sit still always looking for something to do. He was a great babysitter to his youngest brother, and later a Big Brother model in his life, a good friend to his sister and a strong shoulder to lean on. Vladymyr finished school and went to college to become an electrician to follow in his father's steps. He worked together with his dad learning a profession and a man's take on life. At the age of 18 Vladymyr enlisted in the Army to serve his duty to the country. In those two years he showed the example of discipline, responsibility and hard work. When Vladymyr came home from the Army, his family had planned to start a new life in Canada. It was heart breaking for his parents to hear that Vladymyr wanted to stay behind, but it comforted them to know that he was not going to be alone. Vladymyr met and fell in love with his present wife Viktoriya and had serious plans to get married and have a family. In the harmony of this love their first son Misha was born. Vladymyr worked hard during the falling economy to provide for his family, and he took the time to help friends who were in worse situations; their house was always open for people in need. Vladymyr wanted to be closer to his parents and provide a better future for his son in Canada, but things didn't work out the first time. Times toughened up in the Ukraine and the young family decided to start a new life in Israel. Vladymyr made great friends in the new country; learned the language and worked hard to make sure his family was well taken care of. The dream was still to live in Canada. First on a work permit, being away from his loving wife and son; working very hard for six months and finally getting his family here and obtaining permanent residency in Canada. Vladymyr loved his work. He gave names to the trucks he drove and kept them immaculately maintained. Here in North America he drove from East coast to the West coast of Canada and throughout USA and loved the beauty of this land. Good events were coming one after another. Vladymyr and Viktoriya were holding hands telling people they are expecting a child. At the end of September 2009, Vladymyr witnessed the birth of his second son and couldn't get any happier when he was holding his new baby in his arms. We will always remember his gentle eyes, loving heart and love for life. His memories will live on in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28 at St. Vladimir and Olga's Cathedral located at 114 McGregor Street. Donations can be made to Vladymyr Kuziv in Trust at any RBC Branch in Manitoba. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
