DOMENICA SACCO (née Audino) Peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 with her loving husband by her side, Domenica was called to the Heavenly Father. Domenica will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years Giuseppe Sacco, her children: Tony Sacco (Peggy), Richetta Ferlaino (Frank), Alba Pinder (Ken), Phil Sacco (Collette), Inessa Bonneteau (Danny) and Joey Sacco (Sandra). She will also be missed by her precious grandchildren: Anthony and Dean Sacco, Caterina, Vincenzo and Antonio Ferlaino, Douglas and Tabitha Pinder; Melissa and Jessica Bonneteau; and Kyrah and Michael Sacco. Domenica also leaves to mourn her brothers Antonio and Mario Audino (Josie), her sister Rosina Gigliotti; sisters-in-law Carmela Moraca (Matteo), Ida Costanzo (Luigi), Antonietta Frasca (Giovanni), Teresina Sacco, brothers-in-law Mario Aiello, Battista Sacco, Domenico Sacco (Maria) and numerous nieces and nephews. Domenica was predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Felicia Audino, her sister Albina Aiello, sisters-in-law Fiorenza Audino and Elisa Sacco, and brothers-in-law Vitaliano Gigliotti and Luigino Sacco. Domenica was born in S. Mango d'Aquino, Catanzaro, Italy on July 28, 1930. She grew up in a very loving and religious family. In her adolescent years she acquired the talents of embroidery, crocheting, knitting and earned a living with her weaving. Many of these hand-made treasures are cherished possessions of her daughters. In April of 1960, along with her husband Giuseppe, her son Tony (four years old) and baby daughter Richetta (four months old) she immigrated to Canada to join her sister Albina and her husband Mario Aiello, as well as her brother Antonio. Domenica was a homemaker who went on to have four more children and helped raise her grandchildren. She was happiest when she had her family and friends around her, when she could make her specialty home-baked bread and taralli, not to mention her traditional Sammanghese Christmas treats. Domenica was a devoted Catholic and always lived her life according to the word of God. Her faith carried her through life and this was demonstrated by her actions and words which she passed on to her children, grandchildren and all who knew her. The family would like to extend sincere thanks and gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses of the ICU and the 4th floor of the Victoria General Hospital for their professional and compassionate care. Also a special thank you to our many relatives and friends for their overwhelming affection and support. Many thanks to Father Sam Argenziano for his visits and blessings. Pallbearers will be Anthony and Dean Sacco, Vincenzo and Antonio Ferlaino, Douglas Pinder, Vincenzo Audino and honorary pallbearer Michael Sacco.
