MARGARET JESSIE MCCUTCHEON (nee MITCHELL) Peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at the Park Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her husband Russell in 1973, her brothers James, Alexander Sandy , George, and her sister Irene Jory in Australia. Margaret was born May 14, 1926 in Winnipeg to Margaret and James Mitchell. She married Russ in 1954 and together resided in Transcona. She worked at Eaton's for 46 years beginning as a Shopper and retiring from the Eaton's Post Office. She enjoyed curling, golf and bowling, and loved fishing with family and friends at Lee River and Longbow Lake. Margaret liked watching game shows on TV especially The Price Is Right , and enjoyed watching all sports. She would never miss a golf tournament or a figure skating championship. She was extremely fond of cats, especially her two pets Shammy and Misty. She is survived by her three nieces and their families in Australia and other nieces and nephews in Canada. Although Margaret had no children of her own, she was loved by her many friends and their families. Auntie Marg will be greatly missed by all of us. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Park Manor for their kind and compassionate care of Margaret over the past several years. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9.
