ALIDA REIDULFF Peacefully, surrounded by family, Alida Petrine Reidulff passed away on November 22, 2009 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital. She was 83 years of age. Alida leaves to mourn her three children, daughter Sissel Lebedin (Don Gunderson) of Selkirk, sons Jan (Ina) Reidulff of Winnipeg and Glenn (Jeannie) Reid of Regina, and brother Per (Aase) Tryving of Bekkestua, Norway. Also left to cherish her memory are her grand-children, Michael (Angela) and Katherine Lebedin, Sandra Sumner (Cory), Kimberly Trudeau (Neil) and Richard Reidulff (Jennifer); Matthew, Taylor and Eric Reid, and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law Thorun Reidulff of Calgary and Unni Melbye of Oslo, Norway; as well as many nieces and nephews in Canada and Norway. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Arne (2002); father Johannes (1955); mother Johanne (1987) and brother Jan (1933). Alida, Arne and family emigrated from Norway in 1957 and settled in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. In 1961 the family relocated to Winnipeg where Mom worked for Eatons for 20 years. Following retirement Mom and Dad enjoyed the time that they spent in Nanaimo BC, Yuma Arizona, and their cottage at Hillside Beach. On their return to Winnipeg they especially enjoyed living in Fred Douglas Place. Mom thoroughly enjoyed all of the card games and camaraderie at Fred Douglas and bowling in the Lady Trainmen Bowling League. The family would like to thank Dr. Therese Racette and Dr. Pat Harris as well all the staff on the surgical ward of Selkirk and District General Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. At Alida's request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Fred Douglas Place, 333 Vaughan St., Winnipeg, on Saturday, December 5th at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alida's memory, to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Ave., Rm ON1160, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
