PATRICIA GIDALY Surrounded by her family, in the loving arms of her daughter, Pat Gidaly went to be with our Lord on November 16, 2009. She will be forever missed by her daughter Lisa, her loving son-in-law Steve, beloved grandchildren Mark and Deanna, her sister Bunty Trevaskis of the UK, and many friends and relatives in Canada and abroad. Born in Wales to Dr. and Mrs. Harrington, Pat trained as a Registered Nurse and Midwife at Guys Hospital in London, serving with the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain, caring for both British and German pilots who were shot down during the war. After the war, Pat continued her education at London University, taking further training in Preventative Medicine and Public Health Nursing. Pat's nursing career took her to Switzerland, New York (New York General), and Winnipeg, where she settled for more than forty years, working as a Public Health Nurse for the City of Winnipeg. While in Winnipeg, Pat cultivated many friendships, and was very fond of the good friends she had there. A private memorial service will be held at Agape Hospice in Calgary. Love you forever Ma.
