JESSIE VICTORIA LAWRENCE (nee VERITY) Peacefully, on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 Jessie Victoria Lawrence, aged 90, passed away at Oakview Nursing Home in Winnipeg, Manitoba with her husband Sidney and daughter Janis at her side. Jessie was predeceased by her son Paul Robert Lawrence in 2002, granddaughter Colleen in 1980, brother Charles, sisters Bea and Joan and sisters-in-law Mary and Gwen. Jessie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Janis O'Toole (Patrick) of Kitchener, ON, daughter-in-law Joan Lawrence of Calgary. Also saddened and missed by her grandchildren Andrea Lawrence, Jeff (Sarah) Lawrence of Calgary, Michael (Tanya) O'Toole, Neil (Erin) O'Toole, Patricia (Jeff) O'Toole all of Kitchener, ON, great-grandchildren Justin Lawrence, Connor, Samantha and Aiden O'Toole, brother Bruce, brother-in-law Ed, extended family and friends. Jessie was born in Winnipeg, November 29, 1918 to parents Lucy (Winterbottom) and Tom Verity. She was raised on Strathcona Street. In 1942 Jessie met Sidney in Winnipeg, starting a love story that would last 66 years. Jessie's life was filled with care and loving of her children and her husband Sid. Jessie and Sid loved to travel with numerous trips to England and Europe. Jessie was an incredible bowler and played a mean game of BINGO . Jessie cherished the time spent with family and friends and she will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Oakview Place for the care and compassion given to Jessie. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice in Jessie's memory. As per Jessie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
