MAY CHURCHES Peacefully after a brief illness, on November 24, 2009, May Churches, our mom, passed away at the age of 81 years. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Gail (Gary), Sandra, Carol (Vic), Laurie (Al) and Janice (Lindsay). She also leaves her pride and joy, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. May is survived by one sister Evelyn (Bill) and two brothers, Al (Helen) and Ernest. Mom will also be remembered by her very dear friends, Lorna, Louise and Paulette with whom she shared many happy times. Mom was involved for many years with the Manitoba League of the Physically Handicapped, serving on the Executive Committee and holding the positions of Chairperson of the Housing Committee and Secretary. She took great pride in serving on the Advisory Board for Riverside Lions Estates and serving on the Tenants Association at 188 Worthington and at Ellice Place. The family would like to thank the staff on 7A West and South at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care to mom and to our family. Mom, you taught us the meaning of loving unconditionally. Know that you were loved and will be remembered always in our hearts. A private family interment will take place followed by a memorial service at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Monday, November 30, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. where friends may join the family in celebrating mom's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in mom's name may be made to the Manitoba League of the Physically Handicapped. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
