Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADELLA (ETHEL) YACIUK Adella passed away peacefully at the age of 90, November 23, 2009 at Misericordia Health Centre, Winnipeg. She leaves to mourn her son Lorence Yaciuk and daughter-in-law Carol, her brothers Walter Wolfe (Shirley), Adam Wolfe, Ted Wolfe (Mary), Alfred Wolfe (Anne) and sisters Connie Wolfe and Elizabeth Shapansky (Jack). Also grandchildren Bradley Marcine, Kelly Marcine, Susan Canal (Gino), Dawn Lyon (Scott), Leigh Ann Green (Harald), Jeff Yaciuk (Lesley), and great-grandchildren Colby Canal, Virginia Canal, Jonah Lyon, Cameron Lyon, Kaitlyn and Megan Reid. Also remaining are numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Frances Wolfe (Werbicki), her husband Metro (Dan) Yaciuk, and daughter Gloria Marcine. Also predeceased are brothers Wilfred Wolfe, Joseph Wolfe, Felix Wolfe (Elma), Albert Wolfe (Mary) and sisters Helen Pawlinski (Mike), Albina Bradley (Nat), Marie Shymkiw (Bill), and Emily Bazylo (Walter). Adella was born in 1919 on the family farm in Dauphin, MB. She attended the old Trembola school and had many wonderful memories. She married husband Dan in 1938 and spent her life as a caring wife and mother. Her passions were sewing, knitting and cooking. Her faith in God always remained strong. Grandma (Baba) we will miss you dearly. We loved your homemade pickles and exquisite cream pie. Mom we hope you've found that peace you so desired in Heaven. We love you. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1 at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 505 Watt St., Winnipeg. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2 at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bradley Marcine, Jeff Yaciuk, Colby Canal, Gino Canal, Jonah Lyon and Scott Lyon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
