Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJUDITH ALLYSON BRICKEY (nee GADWAY) November 8, 1947 - November 24, 2009 Judi passed away at the Intercare Chinook Hospice (Calgary, AB) after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her mother, Gladys Gadway. Judi will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years, Roger Brickey; daughters, Andrea Brickey, Abigail (Rob) Lauzon, Lindsey (Clayton) Hills and Sara Brickey; grandchildren, Samantha, Jordan, Elliot and Robyn; father Frank Gadway; brothers, Ron (Diana) and Kevin Gadway; sister Robyn (Kevin) Abrahams and many more family and friends. Judi was born in Winnipeg, MB and entered into a nursing career after graduating high school. In 1969, Roger and Judi were married. They moved to Calgary in 1973, where they went on to raise four children and build a wonderful dental practice. Along with her love of family and dear friends, Judi also loved playing bridge and mah jong, reading mystery novels, golfing and attending performing art events. Judi's smile greeted everyone she met, and her concern for others was fathomless. An interment service will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be sent to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada. Judi's family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Foothills Hospital, Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the Chinook Hospice, for their care and compassion throughout her journey.
