Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK OGSTON Frank Ogston, formerly of Winnipeg, aged 91, passed away November 21, 2009 in Kelowna, BC. Frank was born July 20, 1918 during an air raid in the First World War in Folkestone, England. With his parents, Alice and Frank Sr., he came to Canada in 1919 residing in Elmwood and later North Kildonan. Frank served in the Canadian Navy 1940 to 1945 where he met his wife Bette; they were married in Victoria, BC on September 5, 1941. Frank was an avid ham radio operator and computer buff as well as a long time member of the Masonic Acacia Lodge in Winnipeg. He worked for the CPR, retiring in 1978. Frank was predeceased by his parents, sister Peggy Bailey and by wife Bette of 63 years in 2004. In 2005 he moved to Kelowna with his sister Betty, niece Melissa and family. He is survived by his sister Betty, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends in Winnipeg and Kelowna. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, donations can be made to a charity of choice on Frank's behalf.
