LORNE ALBERT PALUCK On Friday, November 27, 2009, Lorne Albert Paluck passed away unexpectedly at the age of 57 years young. He is survived by his children, Lauren (Snooch) and Jared (Champ) and their mother Sylvia. He gave his kids the tightest of hugs (sometimes they hurt) and a zillion kisses every single time he hung out with them. In his own words he was so pumped and proud to be their father. He is also survived by his brothers, Daniel and Victor (Sally, Felicia, Simon, Jordan) and father Nestor. Lorne was predeceased by his beloved mother Jennifer. Lorne enjoyed a good beer, (sometimes 10) while spending quality time with his brothers at their special hangout place, The Farm in Arborg, MB. He was employed at Custom Casting Ltd. for over 11 years where he wore many hats and built many relationships. Lorne was a multi-faceted eccentric man, who, in his spare time enjoyed CBC radio, dance lessons, horses, pursing his degree in Psychology at Athabasca University, and giving back to his community through volunteering with various local projects. Lorne was also known for his willingness to always lend an empathetic listening ear if one wanted to talk . He also consistently ate everything with a fork to avoid greasy fingers. He was a special man to all that loved and knew him. He will be missed tremendously. Lorne's family invites you to join them in a celebration of his life, officiated by family friend Rev. Anthon Bouw, to be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Reception to follow. Lorne supported the mission of creating positive change in Winnipeg's inner city communities. Flowers gratefully declined.
