CECIL CHARLES PAYNE Peacefully on November 26, 2009 at the age 95 years, Cecil Charles Payne passed away at the Betel Home in Selkirk. Cecil sadly missed his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley Payne, who passed away in 2008. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his sons Charles (Kathy), Allan, grandson Tyler, sisters Dorothy, Eleanor (Jim), along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Hilda Payne, brother Cyril and sister Olive, brothers-in-law Henry and Albert. Cecil was born, raised and lived his life in the Balmoral area. He loved spending time with his wife, playing cards, gardening, camping and traveling. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson and came out to support him in many of his sports activities. Cecil also loved listening to music and was gifted with the ability to play several different musical instruments. He loved sharing a meal or a cup of tea, playing a game of cards or horseshoes with family and friends and loved to dance. We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital and Betel Home in Selkirk for the care Dad received while he was there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honour to Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital Foundation. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall.
