Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHAWNA LEE HENRY A golden heart stopped beating on November 26, 2009, our mother, daughter; Shawna Lee Henry was called home to God. She leaves to cherish her memories her precious daughter Desiree and son Brandon, mom Shirley and step-father Larry (Daddio), father Len, brother Dean and wife Debbie, nephew Christopher along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Shawna's first love was her children. Her love for music, songwriting and a voice we will never forget. Her love for animals will never be forgotten, everyone who knew her knew they could count on her to take in a hurt or sick animal and bring them back to health. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a trust fund for Desiree and Brandon at any Assiniboine Credit Union under memory of Shawna Henry.

I knew Shawna from Spring Valley Junior High School. I am shocked and saddened that while looking for her, to thank her, I found her obituary instead. I had always been a shy person and was never able to stand up for myself. Shawna stood up for me and today because of her and a couple of other friends along the way, I am a better person, a stronger person. I knew Shawna in the late 80's. She was a crazy rocker chick & dressed the part. She was a good friend & lover. I will always remember our times together.
