Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRODOLFO VILLEGAS CASTRO 1921 - 2009 Peacefully with his family at his side, Rodolfo passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at the age of 87. Rodolfo was predeceased by his two sons Peregrino and Virgilio. Rodolfo was born in Gattaran, Cagayan, Philippines on December 8, 1921. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Juanita Castro who have both resided in Winnipeg since October 23, 1983. He will be missed dearly by his children, John (Cora), Tony (Alona) of Winnipeg and Honorio (Fe) of Simmi Valley, California; grandchildren, Joanne (Gerald Velez), Rae and Kevin; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jonavyn, also of Winnipeg. He will also be missed by his four other children in the Philippines, Precing (Jose), Bening (Edwin), Prima (Guding) and Claudio (Delia); three grandchildren in Milan, Italy; 12 in the Philippines and 16 great-grandchildren also in the Philippines. Rodolfo was a very kind person, caring for and supporting his children, especially during the depression years in the Philippines. Here in Winnipeg he took great pride babysitting his grandchildren. For the past year, he had been caring for his wife during her illness with the help of his family and home care workers. He will give anything that he can give to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren just to make them happy because they are so dear to his life. He is a very social person and likes to meet new friends. He is fond of dancing and going to parties. Lamay will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6, 2009 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home.
