HENRY GEORGE KONRAD Peacefully on November 28, 2009, Henry was called to his Heavenly home. Dad was predeceased by his sweetheart, Agnes in 2008, and his greatest desire was to be reunited with her once again. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons Ron (Vivian), Gordon (Edith), and daughter, Arlene (Keith); grandchildren, Jeff, Tanya (Troy), Tara (Jeff), Shane (Heather), Sherry (Craig), Jared (Sarah), Rhea, Riley (Lindsay); and 10 great-grandchildren. Henry was born in Russia on March 31, 1922 and immigrated with his parents to Canada in 1924. He was the oldest of 10 siblings. He attended school at M.C.I. where he met the love of his life and they were married on June 2, 1946. We thank all those who blessed our father with friendship and encouragement, especially in the last couple of years. Thank you, Dad for being an inspiring role model to us, your family. Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford Street, Winnipeg. A celebration of Henry's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2009, also at Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford Street, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
