JARED TOEWS Our beloved son and brother, Jared Casey Toews, was born to Ron and Twila Barkman Toews on January 11, 1997, in Brandon, Manitoba. After several weeks of intense pain, we were anticipating the beginning of his recovery from Guillian*Barre syndrome, but God chose otherwise. He was peacefully carried home by the angels as day was dawning on November 25, 2009, at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, with his parents and grandparents, at his bedside. He reached the age of 12 years. His death was caused by unexpected heart failure. Early in life, Jared was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and severely impaired vision. In spite of his handicap, Jared was a cheerful, sociable person. Left with aching hearts and fond memories are his parents, Ron and Twila, and big brother, Jordan; grandparents, Alphae and Frances Toews, and Denton and June Barkman; great-grandmother, Selma Barkman; uncles and aunts, Jay and Paula Barkman, DaVon and Ronette Barkman, Galen and Amanda Toews, Chester and Cheryl Koehn, Delbert and Marlene Dueck, Bernard and Veronica Toews, Brian and Grace Toews, Cam Toews, John and Jackie Penner; and many cousins and friends. We would like to thank you for all the expressions of sympathy we have received during this difficult time. We also deeply appreciate all the help we received for Jared through the years. Funeral service was held on Sunday, November 29 at Church of God in Christ Mennonite followed by interment at Cartwright Cemetery, Cartwright, Manitoba. Killarney Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
