MARGARET MARION CLARK Only child of James E. and Lillie Clark, Margaret was born in Portage la Prairie, March 29, 1924 and died November 28, 2009 after a brief illness. Educated in Macdonald, Edmonton, Regina and Portage, she was employed as a Secretary to the President of Hawaiian Pacific Industries in Honolulu (1961 - 1962) and as a legal secretary in Portage (Sexsmith and Greenberg), and in Winnipeg (Pitblado, Hoskin). Marg was actively involved in many charitable organizations in both Portage and Winnipeg, some of which included the Portage Centennial, Chamber of Commerce, and Golf Club. In Winnipeg she contributed generous time and support to the Deer Lodge and Children's Hospital, the Chown Guild and the United Way. She is survived by cousins and treasured friends, young and old across North America, Hawaii and Austria. A brief graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Portage la Prairie on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 11:00 with a reception to follow at the Days Inn. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Hospital. Although the candles are growing fewer, love and life demand of you that the flame grows ever brighter.
