ARTHUR R. WILSON 1916 - 2009 Peacefully in the evening of Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Poseidon Care Centre, Art Wilson rejoined his wife Olive, who predeceased him in 2002. From humble beginnings, Art born in Kenora and Olive born in Killarney made their way to Winnipeg, met, married and built together a marriage lasting 65 plus years. They were long time residents of St. Vital. Art like Olive, had a long and fulfilling life which at times was fraught with such difficulties from the depression to health issues, but, Art together with his wife met them with vigour, love and a zest for life rarely seen today. A longtime barber on Sargent Avenue, Art enjoyed his retirement of 30 years growing his gardens and interacting with his neighbours. Thanks to the staff of P.C.C. on the 4th floor for their care and concern over the last five years. Art is survived by nieces and nephews who are left with many fond and wonderful memories of stories and smiles of Uncle Art and Aunt Olive. Art, like Olive, will be forever missed by the entire Barr family. At Art's request no service will be held and he will be laid to rest beside Olive in Killarney.
