HUBERT (BERT) CHARLES PEIRCE July 28, 1906 - November 27, 2009 Bert Peirce, of Calgary, AB, formerly of Winnipeg, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009, at the age of 103 years. Bert was born in England and immigrated to Winnipeg at the age of six with his family. His career started at the age of 15 with Winnipeg Electric which became Manitoba Hydro and had a proud 50 year career. Bert is survived by his children and their spouses, Ronald and Doreen Peirce, Allan and Heather Peirce, Robert and Heather Peirce, Donna Griffiths, Susan and Trevor Holgate, and Paul Peirce; grandchildren, Pamela (Jim), Melanie, David (Alice), Shelagh (Mark), Lisa (Greg), Casey, Benjamin and Darcy; great-grandchildren, Colby, Peirce, Quincy, Samuel, Isobel, and Rhys. Bert was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1980; his two brothers, James and Arthur and sister Ethel.
