PHILIP JOHN NAHULIAK March 23, 1946 - November 30, 2009 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Philip John Nahuliak on Monday, November 30, 2009. Phil is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Joyce, their two daughters Lisa (Darren) Fenning and Margret (Gord) Fries and his two precious grandchildren Matthew Fries and Sydney Fenning. Phil was raised in Red Rose, Manitoba where he enjoyed farm life with his parents John and Lena and his four sisters Rose, Helen, Leona and Delores. He loved the outdoors and anything that involved spending time with one of his great loves...his father John. Phil moved to Winnipeg and was employed with Blackwood's Beverages under Gerry Grey which later became Pepsi Bottling Group for over 40 years. Phil along with Joyce raised their two daughters in a fun loving home. Dad always had time for his girls and loved playing anything that they wanted, Barbie's, tea party, Shark Attack , it didn't matter what it was. Phil's greatest happiness came with the birth of his two grandchildren. He was over the moon with one grandson and one granddaughter. Grandpa never said no to the kids, whatever they wanted Grandpa would make sure they would get. Many times he would tell us that Matt and Syd were his heart. Phil enjoyed the simple things in life, Tim Horton's coffee, a cigarette, his dog Sandi and his family was all that he needed for it to be a great day. Dad still enjoyed a trip to the Farm and loved going to the cottage in Lac Du Bonnet where he would go for a pontoon boat ride or fish off the dock. He loved relaxing in the evening in the Gazebo and talking for hours about anything, even if he already told you that story two times. In keeping with Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Dad was a great lover of all animals and as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Phil's memory can be made to Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3K 0Y1. A special thank you to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre SICU Unit for their care and compassion and to Dr. Fletcher and Dr. Jim Newton for always being there for Dad. Do not mourn for me, I have not left you. Look into the eyes of my family And you will find me there. You were everything to us, until we meet again, rest in peace. We will love you forever and always... VICHNAYA PAMYAT
