CECIL WALLACE BLAIR Sadly we announce the passing of Cecil on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Victoria Hospital. Cec was born in Salem, Manitoba on December 18, 1917. He grew up in the Salem and MacDonald area and moved to Winnipeg as an adult, where he spent most of his life, with his wife Doreen and son Barry. Cec is survived by his son Barry (Rose); grandchildren Tricia (Ross) and Craig (Kristina); great-grandchild Evan; sister Phyllis, brother-in-law Ray (Joyce) Thurston and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Doreen (nee Thurston); parents Peter and Mable Blair; sisters Vera Regent, Lena Bailey, Marge Davidson, Thelma Kelly and Violet Gillespie; brothers Kenny Blair, Clinton Blair. A funeral service will held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Road S, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Cec's name may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 21 Royal Road S, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 1T8.
