ROSE KRUK (nee Stutsky) It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, peacefully on December 6, 2009, at the Red River Place Personal Care Home, Selkirk, MB, after a lengthy illness. Mom was predeceased by her husband Phillip in 1985; sons Michael and John in infancy. She was also predeceased by her sisters Teenie, Violet and Leona; brothers John, Joe, Mike, Walter, Steve, Tony, Paul and Peter. Forever to cherish her memory are her sons Joe (Joyce); Lawrence (Diane); Randy (Connie) and Gordon; daughters Marge, Betty (Ron), Nellie (Rick); eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mom is also survived by her sister Edith Trush of Oakbank, Manitoba and brother Victor of Oshawa, Ontario plus many nieces and nephews. Mom was born in 1916 at Foley, MB. She met the love of her life, Phillip Kruk and raised seven children at the Dencross homestead. In 1966 mom and dad sold the farms and moved to Selkirk. Mom worked at the Red River Place Personal Care Home for many years until her retirement. The family would like to thank at this time, the nurses, staff and volunteers at the Red River Place for their love and compassion during mom's lengthy stay. Her pallbearers will be her grandsons. Prayers will be said in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9. Funeral services will also be held at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 10, with Fr. Isidore Dziadyk O.S.B.M officiating. Interment will take place in the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Brokenhead, MB. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
