ERIC HAMILTON NELSON December 20, 1913 - December 9, 2009 Peacefully on Wednesday morning at Maples Personal Care Home. Eric was predeceased by his wife Allison, parents Eric and Ida, sisters Bessie, Ann, Irene and Ellen as well as his brother John. Left to cherish his memory is his sister Ida Hankinson, sisters-in-law Mary and Jean Laing, his children Joan (Steve), David (JoAnne), Renee (Jim), his eight grandchildren Shannon, Paula (Chris), Wendy, Pamela (James), Kyle (Louise), Alana (Craig), Robin (Paul) and Steven, as well as his 12 great-grandchildren Chelsea, Shelby, Taylor, Amy, Josh, Kylie, Sara, Lindsey, Julia, Adam, Daniel and Olivia. Dad had always been ready with a quick smile and joke for anyone who crossed his path. Thank you to the staff at Maples - your caring over the last few years is deeply appreciated. Memorial service will be held at Klassen Funeral Home on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of their choice.
