Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARVIN REINHOLD REDER Suddenly, but surrounded by his family, Arvin Reinhold Reder passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Victoria Hospital. He was born on September 29, 1941 in Tyndall, Manitoba. He joined the Air Force as a meteorologist for 26 years. He then spent the next 16 years as an air traffic controller and meteorologist in the NWT and Northern Manitoba. He was predeceased by his first wife of 37 years Shirley, and leaves behind his loving wife of six years - Estelle, his two sons Darren, Duane (wife Eva, two grandchildren Brooke and Cole) a stepson Marc (wife Lizanne, and their two boys Mathew and Christopher), his sister Jeanette, his sisters-in-law Connie and Sharleen, his nieces Linda, Marlene (husband Gerald), his nephew Harold (wife Lorraine). Arvin lived life to the fullest, and really enjoyed spending the winters in Florida and South Padre Island, Texas, since his retirement in 2005. For their kindness and care, the family wishes to acknowledge the doctors and staff of CancerCare at the Health Sciences Centre, the EMS responders for all their valiant efforts, the Emergency and the ICU doctors and staff of the Victoria Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CancerCare at the Health Sciences Centre, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, or the Poppy Fund St. James Branch #4 of the Royal Canadian Legion. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the Royal Canadian Legion, St. James Branch #4, 1755 Portage Avenue, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.
